It finally happened. After a year and a half of on and off hunting, through multiple games and multiple gens, it finally sparkled in the wormhole.

I found a shiny Raikou.

I now have a beautiful orange tiger to call my own. One that I worked for and achieved through patience (lots and lots of patience) and hard work. I did not let my friend hack one for me, I did not trade for one; I found it. All of my own. After one and a half years of being told to give up, to go find something else to hunt, my stubborn and hard-headed self did it.

His name is Kiyomi. Although Basil is dear to me, Kiyomi is tied with him in terms of my favorite and most special shiny.

To some of you from Miiverse, you might remember when I actually began this hunt. About a month in, I started working on a piece of art in PAA that I said I would post once I found the shiny Raikou. Well, I didn’t like it as much now as I did then, so I decided to make a whole new work of art in PAA instead (I’m a bit out of practice with PAA, hehe).
