馬祖 (Traditional Chinese)
[Written above in left upper corned in "Ancient" Chinese Script]
Mazhu (or Maju or Mazu)
Often revered as an Ocean goddess... she is based on a real person in Ancient times... and folks still report seeing her on the water and saving people. They changed her name to "Mazhu" and have built many many temples to her. The most popular goddess/ascended master after Guanyin Pusa (Bodhisatva).
Very popular Ascended Master spirit of the Souther Chinese (Nan Fang Chinese) and amoung Chinese populations outside of China amoung the Asian Islands.

NOTES:You may notice there are several small glitches or errors in the piece... due to various computer problems....
I'm just tired of it... So, I resided to just finish it without worrying about the errors.
I didn't want to use any purples in this piece... but, as I went along and experimented with colors, purple worked better in various areas, especially the sky and the color overlay...
I'd originally wanted a gray stormy sky... but it looked to scary... and ruined the auspicious feel of the piece.
