Description This is basically a continutation of my Gundam Kagutsuchi Project. Thanks to your suggestions, I thought I'd go with some changes.

The reason why the pencilart looks a lot darker was the usage of an older scanner of ours since the one I normally used at the moment was out of whack. As always, I'll translate my notes just in case.

Decorative swordpiece or without?
I'm bad with rear view. So sue me!
Inactive State
Beam Sword
Active State
Or
Customized Beam Sabre Concept - Hilt
Battle Shield Concept (bit too big, me thinks)
Not easy trying to go with a mechanical revision

As you could see, I came with some different ideas - including the beam sword's active state by borrowing a page from Gundam Epyon's weapon in Gundam Wing. I still have to improve on shading.

Because I was trying to give Kagutsuchi a bit more of a technological look, it wasn't easy trying to replace some organic parts to mechanical. Especially the joints for the jaw! And just to differentiate the two heads, the dragon head at the bottom becomes part of the Battle Shield, has the twin cannon barrels in the mouth, while the Gundam head has a dragon-based helmet. In addition - if it's added, the Gundam's swordpiece is a decoration, not a secondary weapon.

Once again, your suggestions would be helpful in making this Gundam a battle-worthy mobile suit! Though as usual, I might have to put that into scraps later on. The next time I'm working on this mobile suit, it would either be on the limbs, alternate mode, transformation, or some additional parts like wings and/or weapons.

So once again, what do you think so far?

Nice going, I think you should keep the decorative swordpiece. It's one of the main feature of kagutsuchi, however I think it can be modified into a "horn" rather than a portruding dagger.

As for the shield, I like the concept - the head at the end reminds me of one of those shields with a cannon or blaster underneath.

and last but not least, Merry Christmas!

NOTE - I mistakenly wrote this comment on the devious thoughts, unfortunately...

The swordpiece as a 'horn' - not a bad idea! Would that involve only the modified hilt sticking out, or the sword blade?

And speaking of blades, secondly, the main blade on Kagutsuchi's dragon head: Can that conceal a normal beam sabre, the custom-built one as seen here, or a beam sword? If saving the beam sword for an upgraded Kagutsuchi concept, can the sword serve as a last resort just in case?

How about the two side circles on the shield serve as an additional power generators for a forcefield/flamethrower and/or twin buster rifle sound?

Once again, I thank you for your reply! And Merry Christmas to you too!

With the horn, I was thinking more as the ornate hilt sticking out, and part of the blade only slightly visible. As for the main blade on kagutsuchi's head, I'll leave that up to you

I like the idea of the side circles serving as additional power generators, but I think another option is to have them as those detachable controlled flying/shooting bits that's also a staple of gundam these days (like gundam Rose, Providence, Legend, etc).

Hm... the hilt as the horn - without the actual blade or part of the blade... makes it look less awkward. Sounds like a nice idea! And something tells me I might have to make the Beam Sword as an upgraded Gundam Kagutsuchi's weapon for the future, so I'll make the Beam Sabre one of it's melee weapons for now!

The side circles... like Gundam SEED's DRAGOON units... sounds like fun! Again, I can use these in Kagutsuchi's upgraded form in the future, with the possibility of those six circular bits to be used in a beam shield, sort of like the fin funnels in the Nu Gundam!

It's so good that many interesting ideas can come out on a project like this! What do you think of the idea of an ungraded Kagutsuchi, by the way?
