Description
I make this in protest of all of Spock's BS insistence that 'Vulcans do not have emotions.'Yeah, and all the UST in TOS is completely coincidental.
There's plenty of evidence out there of Spock's softer side, mostly from The Naked Time and other episodes where he's under outside influences. Here, I simply saw a moment where Spock was utterly, undeniably puffed up over himself over the attentions of a lady. Er, female, anyway.
I thought it was cute.
EDIT: I finally figured out the word I was trying to think of when I put the original title 'Smugness' on this! That, and a better punchline.

You're telling me. The first time I saw a TV special where they had Michael Dorn in and out of makeup, I was like O_o.
The funny thing is, my dad's white, but he's got that super tannable skin and he works in construction so he's incredibly, like, burnt umber dark. I made fun of him for a while, going, "But Dad! Klingons don't have tan lines!"
At which time he pointed out that Christopher Lloyd played the Klingon on The Search for Spock, and they 'sure as hell weren't putting the makeup where the costume wasn't.'

But he's right about the makeup--hell there where instances, in episodes in TOS, where they didn't even finish Spock's neck. SPOCK! One of three of the LEAD CHARACTERS and they got lazy, "eff it, everybody'll be looking at the ears anyway..." 'City On The Edge of Forever' he had so much green dust 'round his neck, looked like he had been crop dusted.

*snickerfit* I do love it when they have to try and hide or explain Spock's ears. Good thing for them they don't have an Andorian or Orion for a Commander/Science Officer, ne?
Have you seen Patterns of Force from Season Two, where Kirk and Spock had to dress up as Nazis?
I swear, I had to pause the first time I saw those Nazi grunts come on screen-I couldn't even decide whether to freak out or die laughing. All I kept thinking was, 'But Shatner and Nimoy are Jewish! RUN, BOYS!!! RUUUUUUNNNN!!!'

An Andorian wouldn't have bothered with explinations and run the cop through with a knife. Crude, barbaric but more efficient than trying to reason with him. And an Orion--of which I have NEVER seen a male--would have just shook her booty at him and the cop would have been all like, *strip club gaze* "You take cash or credit, ma'am?"

Even so, that must have been a real confusing day of shooting. I knew Nimoy was Jewish but not Shatner. I wonder what they must have thought walking into the office that day, looking at he script and the costumes set aside, "What the hell? Somebody's about to get nerve pinched up in this bish!!"

Dude....there are times when he just ices over someone with his gaze and I'm just NMGNMGNGMGNGMGNGM. Especially when Bones gets sand in his vag over something and starts railing about how they need to do this and that, he just looks at him like, "...plz. Bitch plz."
