actually it was confirmed by gene roddenberry that he did infact intend for those who were looking for it to know that though kirk and spocks relation ship isn't a sexual one he honestly wouldn't put it past them XD no joke, even the actors agreed.

to tell the truth, the other day i saw this poster and i was giggling (every time i see a pic of these two i'm always delighted) they are meant to be together.
well when i saw this pic i started to talk with myself about how obvious they were and in that same instant my uncle and my brother came into the room and since i was saying something along the lines of "i really loved that episode and they are so cute together and please just hug and kiss already" my uncle asked "wtf! are those SPOCK AND CAPTAIN KIRK????" and my brother was looking at me with the "
and i couldn't resist i had to answer and the only way to give that answer was using logic of course: "uncle, cant you see or notice how Kirk got the same deer eyes you look at your wife with?" he just looked confused and to my bother "isn't that expression similar at the one you use to have when you see your girlfriend?" they looked at each other and when out of the room saying that i was crazy and that i needed a life.
but what can i say, seeing these two make me happy and help to keep my family away (specially my brother and uncle) and for real, i always loved how Kirk would always look at Spock.
and btw, this poster made my day!

100% honesty:
I would start freaking out if my best friend looked at me like that, and when I say my best friend, I'm referring to the person that gives me the most sisterly love (to the point that it's border-line lesbian), in my life. I would seriously tell her, "Hey, uh, hun, I love you, but if you could back up some and stop looking at me like that..." How did this couple fly over so many people's heads?

I totally think that there's a connection between them. Some idiot hater posted a comment on my shorter video of Spirk moments from the show saying that it's not possible 1) for all the times they, especially Kirk, are seen kissing girls, and 2) because apparently it takes place in a time in the future where homosexuality has been "cured". If I only knew where to find this guy, I'd like to go smash his face in defense of homosexuals everywhere.

yeah thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You can't "cure" that, and I don't see why you'd want to.
I understand and am fine with people who think that they are just friends, thats fine, to each his own, but theres no reason for those people to go around and be assholes to us, just because we feel differently about the show than they do.
Whether or not you agree that they're together, you can't tell us that its not POSSIBLE, because it's very possible.

totally. I reponded to him about how he was very prejudiced to say what he did about gay, and that if he wants a Kirk/Uhura vid so bad (something else he complained about was how there are, like, no Kirk/Uhura vids. Don't know if this is true, must research), that he should try making one. And then I gave him honest helpers on how to go about making his own music video.
