I always though as wolf as a big edge lone wolf (no punk indented) brother (kind of like reaper) to fox

A pretty cool picture man. But all I have to ask is why is Wolf helping Fox? I think Wolf is more of a person... er... wolf that would leave Fox for dead.

Wolf does care about Fox. They are kind of like brothers in that they care for each other deep down yet are constantly trying to outdo each other.

I love how this shows a bit more back story to these two than Nintendo does. I like to think that their rivalry has more to it than wolf just hates him. Great job.

This pic is nice. I think Wolf is always like: "Fuck you Fox I hate you", but then at the same time "Hell, if he dies who will I rival then?!"

I hate how Nintendo does not cover many things about the characters that people love in this game, especially Wolf. Why does he want to defeat Fox? Did he contribute to the "death" of James? Was he a very close friend of Fox before they became enemies? How did Fox and Wolf become enemies? What bad things that occurred in Wolf's life made him become a monster? Was it Fox that gave Wolf the injury on his left eye? I guess they don't want it to get too "mature" (they did handle Eternal Darkness, though). I made a theory that I love to believe, but it's all up to fanfiction and fan art.

"Shit..." Wolf muttered. Normally, he would be out to tan Fox's hide, but for some reason, he couldn't find it in him to just leave him like that. He was starting to develop a grudging respect for him. As if they were former friends. Except they weren't. They were rivals. And he'd prefer to keep it that way. But something had held him back from putting him out of his misery. You're a killer, not a murderer. His late father would say to him. Wolf was very cold-blooded and very cavalier about those he fought, but he was still taught a strict code of honor among criminals when he was young. Well. It was a valuable lesson, to be sure, but as soon as he started working for Andross, he had no choice but to assume that persona.
"Shark-Tooth" Jack O'Donnell was a ruthless Don, and he didn't hesitate to break a few rules in the business to get what he needed, but he was still a family man. On that night, when he was showered with bullets by a rival family, Wolf had to step up and become a leader. Before Star Wolf's time. Even in Jack's dying breath, the words echoed within him. "Wolf...You're the O'Donnells' last hope. I know that your brother is very competitive, but you can't let him get in your way. Drag him kicking and screaming into our future if have to. But don't besmirch our name and kill him. That's what they want you to do. The Marinovs...The Ramirezes...The Askers...Do with them as you will, but no women, no children. I learned that the hard way. And so will you."
Wolf promised his dying father that he would uphold that sense of honor. But in time, he grew bored of life as a Don. He had it all, women, cash, booze, power. So why wasn't he satisfied? It was then that after meeting Leon, Oikonny, and Pigma, that he decided enough was enough. His estranged brother, Raleigh, had offered to take over. But he never responded. Wolf also had no choice but to leave his Niece, Holly. He didn't want to put the kid in danger. Even when he was on a killing spree, Wolf immediately drew the line at harming children. Especially his own kin. He wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty with women, but they often would leave him alone and not clash with him after a one-night stand. Or if he deemed them to be a threat towards his family, or Star Wolf. Either one worked. He almost felt sorry for the old bastard. He was hardly there for him, he often argued with his mother, he didn't help him make friends back in school. But Jack loved him nonetheless. He just hardly showed it. Wolf had to admit, he did help him make it to the top. He was partially responsible for getting the O'Donnell family back on their feet. For a time, they ruled their respective sector of Venom. They offered protection, money, whores, food, and even weapons. They were surprisingly fair in their treatment of the people.
So here he was, starring down at the sight of his battered, bleeding rival. What was he to do? He couldn't just finish it right then and there. He never even committed such a thing. A merciful act, to be specific. He looked down at the knife strapped to his boot. He would rather end him in combat. Not like this. It didn't feel right, even by his standards. No one asked him what his status was. He turned his radio off, hoping to not be the bearer of bad news to the other Star Fox freelancers. Not yet, anyway. Fox still owed him for helping him in Corneria City to end General Pepper's suffering at the hands of the Aparoids. The feeling was mutual.
He finally leaned down and checked for a pulse. It was slow, but good enough. 40 Beats Per Minute. He looked around to see if there was no one around. There was a firefight here, but he'd ask about it later. All clear. Looking in Fox's bag, he searched for whatever could get them the hell out of dodge. He turned his head to see Fox, still breathing very raggedly. Krystal would kill me if I left him here, he thought. Using his limited medical experience, Wolf crouched, pouring out the contents of the bag. He found some tweezers, gauze, flares, and a flare gun, among others. First, he would have to stop the bleeding. Before that, Wolf opened the flare gun and chambered in a flare. He nodded, and set it to the side while getting to work. He pulled out another flare, knowing he would have to cauterize the wound in his chest. He put the flare between his teeth, unzipped Fox's jacket and removed his shirt, noticing the wound. He removed it from his mouth and popped the cap off, igniting the flare and took a deep breath before sticking it in his chest. Fox's eyes flew open, as he screamed in pain so loud, it would wake up the heaviest of sound sleepers. Wolf noticed the great pain in his face and gripped his muzzle shut. Fox saw the dog before him, and knew he had to keep quiet. His muffled screaming continued. But after some extensive treatment, he had fallen quiet. Wolf realized that it was a gargled scream, and it came to him that he was also choking on his own blood. Wolf looked at his right hand, and unsheathed a claw. Aiming carefully before puncturing his chest, thus causing Fox to start coughing up excess blood. He finally started to breathe normal again, and laid his head back against the wall of the shack they were hidden in. Fox looked up, still in disbelief that the man who swore to kill him was treating him.
"Uh..."
"I know. Not what I'd normally be doing to you, but I kinda don't have choice."
Fox blinked. Still uncertain of what to think.
"How'd you find me?" He asked. Wolf was unsure of how to respond.
"Your girlfriend convinced me that you were missing in action, so she contacted me, of all people."
Fox paused. He tried to get up, but was just too weak. His legs felt like jelly. He felt woozy. And he bet he couldn't even shoot straight. He tried reaching some bottled water that was in his bag, but he felt too numb. Wolf took the bottle and opened it. "Drink." He said.
Fox took a sip of the water, and suddenly, he felt less parched. "Thanks." He muttered. Wolf nodded.
"Feels weird to actually be helping you."
He barely looked up. But he was right. They normally would be locked into a fight to the death, but seeing as how Krystal had begged him to find Fox, preferably alive, this time was different.
They had a brief conversation about old times, and why they fight. But they had to get moving, so Wolf and Fox mustered their strength in the humid rain. The drops being somewhat cooling. But Fox still barely walk, so Wolf picked up the flare gun, aimed at a clearing, and fired it. The light wouldn't last long, so he picked him up. Fox hung onto him, and Wolf didn't let go. It was easily one of the strangest things he had ever done, but who else was gonna do it?
As Wolf trudged through the mud, Fox still hanging onto him, he looked up, and readied another flare. He looked at him, as he fired it, and set him down for a minute. Saying four words he never thought he'd say...
"Hang in there, Fox."

I am going to tell you a prequel or a sequel of Fox yelling in pain so loud by using my made up story.
Zara (was an anime girl and my first OC) went upstairs and looks at the window in her bedroom, and closes her door and lays down in her bed. Zara turns off her lamp, covers herself in a blanket, and fell asleep. During a big storm in the night at the cabin that was burned down, Fox screamed in pain so loud and Wolf gripped his muzzle shut and turns the light off because he does not want Fox's loud screaming to wake anyone. Zara woke up in a fright, as she looks at the window and sees the burned cabin, she ran downstairs, grabbed her sweater and an umbrella, and ran outside to see what is going on outside on a stormy night. As she tries to open the cabin door, it was locked. Zara sees an ax on the ground, knowing she would break the door nob. Zara grabs the ax and starts breaking the door nob, but the door nob is stuck. "Common!" she said. As her arms starts getting tired. Zara finally breaks the door nob and she quickly opens the door. She sees that the cabin is empty. Zara noticed that Fox and Wolf left here. She turns around and sees Fox and Wolf walking far away from here. "I wonder who they are", she said, and went back to her house.

Whoa that's really cool. And for some reason, I can really see Wolf doing something like this. After all Wolf may want to kill Fox, but I would think he would want to do it in battle so he can brag about it.

Fox and Wolf used to be friends... but then Wolf betrayed the star fox group and made his own with - Leon, Panther and himself (obviously XD).... but...Wolf still is an enemy, but a friend...if you know what i mean by that...Wolf has quiet a small soft spot for Fox... It's a bit like Β shadow the hedgehog....He's Friend and Foe, but change Friend And Foe to star fox names - Wolf and Fox....

As Wolf went to check the area, he saw Fox just laying there, with multiple wounds, scars, even he thought Fox took a big hit.
Wolf: Well, well, well, I think your time has finally come Fox.
Wolf pulled out his combat knife. This was a definite sign that it was time to end this now.
As Wolf was just about to end it all, he couldn't the strength to kill him.
Wolf: What the hell are you doing, Wolf! End this now!
But he couldn't.Β
Wolf: He doesn't know what's coming. I mean sure, I can kill but, I'm not THAT much of a killer am I? It would be like cutting someone's throat while they were sleeping.
Wolf put his combat knife back. As he was picking up Fox he thought to himself:
I may be a killer, but not THAT kind of a killer.
He put Fox on his back, and started to head to his aircraft, where he had medical supplies in case if he crash landed. But those medical supplies would work too for. Fox's wounds.
Fox: Ugh... wait... what the...
Wolf: Relax Fox, hang in there.
