Here's the gift I made for this year's Portal Secret Santa event on tumblr! My recipient was tumblr-user thepromiseimadetoyou and she suggested Doug and Chell on a post-Aperture road trip together (with the Companion Cube!). The prompt was a joy to work with.

Yeah, when I was first getting into the Portal fandom I was kinda confused like "why does everyone care so much about this Rattmann guy?" but then I read his comic and got more into fan stuff... and I love him, and I can totally see why everyone else does too. I'm actually pretty excited about the Jurassic Portal version of him I have planned for my fanfic, if I ever get to writing it. But hopefully I'll draw more stuff for that too!

Oo, I'd love to read your Fan-Fic if you ever release it! It's hard to come by a solid, good Fan-Fiction. Other than Blue Sky, haha.
I was reading a Fan-Fic called Aperture Cafe that seemed alright. It was enjoyable enough, but there's sixteen(?) chapters so far and still no plot. Each chapter just kind of goes random places. It's kind of sad when a Fan-Fic starts off looking great and then just ends up winding off into nowhere with no plot in sight.
I can't wait to see more drawings and stuff from you!!

Oh man, if I ever have time to write much of it I'll let you know where it's posted! Thought I can't make any promises about it being great, heh. It's true, there is the rare gem but most of them it's just people having fun without really planning much. I've read Aperture Cafe! I drew a scene from it as my secret santa gift last year, actually! I enjoyed reading it because of the funny dialogue, but you're right about the plot. But I think it's okay for some things to just be relaxing fluff. ^^

It's perfectly fine to write relaxing fluff. I love it, really! But sometimes when an entire FanFic is just dedicated to random events happening and no real plot, I start to drift away from it.

Thanks, glad you like it! And I'm trying! Haha I try to post all the big, finished illustrations I do to all my social media. I've gotten a little behind though so hopefully next month when I have the time I can upload some of the tumblr-only illustrations that I've missed. ^^
