I think I finally got Nathan's skin tone right. He won't get any darker than this.
Also I love the Blueridge Mountains, where this story about all the monster characters takes place.

Thanks! And you haven't even seen them acting normal yet! When they're being casual it involves lots of singing, dancing, and general wise-cracking. "Love is an Open Door" is basically their theme song. XD
And perhaps soon! I need to come up with some crucial details about the plot's ending and the settings of the story before I can attempt it again. (I already started it once but it wasn't working so I've made some pretty major revisions.)

The funny thing is that this romance takes place inside another story, and the other story is told by a character who doesn't really know the romance is going on. Rather, she can tell the reader about a few things she observes, but not all of it. So to get it all down I think I'd have to write two stories. XD
