Description ***Loading Crew log #0464-C

---

***Day 8 of searching Kepler-426B for any survivors of the EFSS Serapis. The surface of Kepler-426B is 350 degrees Celsius, the chances of anyone surviving are second to none. The nuclear torpedoes aboard the ship and any other weaponry on it may have detonated or broken up when it crashed, spilling hazardous and radioactive materials everywhere near the crash site, further reducing the chances of anyone surviving. At night the winds exceed 60 mph and the planet cools to a chilling -150 degrees Celsius and the fog and storms are so thick during the day even our ship's sensors are having trouble mapping the terrain.

Nice work as always BlastWaves!

But I have a bit of a quirk in the Crew Log.

"Day 8 of searching Kepler-426B for any survivors of the EFSS Serapis. The surface of Kepler-426B is 350 degrees Celsius, the chances of anyone surviving are second to none."

Well, why are they still searching? It's like trying to find a hot wing you just put in the trash 3 days ago.

There's a possibility that some of the crew was able to escape the crash via lifeboat/pod and are still alive inside the pods. Even if they aren't alive, the search teams must still attempt to locate the wreckage of the EFSS Serapis.

Maybe it's depicting mankind's willingness to "never leave your teammates behind". Or, some such "esprit de corps" like that.
