Walking out of a doorway & onto a walkway around the edge of a roughly assembled ACE hanger, 2 pilots new to the Underground Arenas headed for their machines. While the taller of the 2 was already in some sort of black full armour suit covered in bone themed decorations, his female companion was zipping up the front of her red pilot suit, covering the deeper red tank top underneath & grumbling as she reached back to where her helmet was resting on her life support pack.
Alex; *Annoyed groan* It's Red. Just.....Red. They guy asked me what I called my Mech, and I said, & I quote, it's simply...Red. But noooo, HE was too busy looking down my top & trying to hit on me to register the name properly, & now everyone's going to think she's called Simply Red..."
Skeleton Jack; "It doesn't matter, that's all the information we're going to give them on our Mechs. We get through this introductory fight against the House Brawlers & we should be ready for the Underground Battle Ring. The credits should be useful..."
Al; "Yeah, I know, it's just frustrating..."
SJ; "I know. Hmmmmm, looks like you're up 1st, AND against the guy who took our details. *Chuckle* Looks like the Fates have given you a chance to vent on the cause of your problem..."
Al; "Oh reeeeeaaaaly? The Fates huh? Well then, if the FATES have helped me out, who am I to resist. *Chuckle* And since we're both just gonna use our base loadout, no guns, should be even more satisfying when I carve that guy's Troll up like a turkey. Dual assault rifles & a broadsword? Hope he's better with them than we think he is..."
Climbing into the Red Tiger Hunter's chest cockpit, Alex gave her armoured friend the thumbs up combined with an evil grin before closing the hatch, powering up her Mech & following some teenager waving lightsticks at her from the back of a jeep. Time to show this meathead she was a LOT more than just a pretty face. Skeleton Jack got in his Tiger Hunter, dubbed "Thriller" by Alex, and started a quick checklist to pass the time. They had researched the House Brawlers here, they were good, but their tactics were simple, predictable even once you knew what to look for. With what he knew of Red's opponent & Alex's mood right now, this wasn't going to be a long fight...

Thanks. Names kinda came from the colours/decoration & the fact Blazbaros wanted 80's names in his commission page -Β PAYLOAD: Build-A-Mech Special Commission .Β Couldn't decide between black & bones or just red, so went with both. "Simply Red" came from the fact Alex's would be, well, simply red

Dig the loadout on this one. shoulder mounted cannon, missile turret on the other shoulder, a (mining?) drill along with, heyhey! More missiles! Loving the color combo too. A nice purple with a bit of orange/gold color.
