Description
My final entry into the Endurance Contest.It is rumored that Xerxes was once of the Imperial Fists, a powerful epistolary that was struck down at the climatic battle of the Horus Heresy. While his body was broken, his mind did not die. Later he was interred into a contemptor dreadnought, in honor of his bravery and fortitude, so that he may still crush the enemies of the Imperium. When questioned about this, Xerxes is silent on the matter.
Flippin' hell this a lot of work. . I never wanna draw that many characters in a picture ever again. Especially when you have to fudge them all in like that.
Oh and for those of you who are all "Librarians are supposed to be bluuuue", well nyah! I don't like them blue.

I agree with you on that one. While librarians are supposed to be blue and techmarines red, my librarians are a deep violet and my techmarines a metallic copper.

Only thing that makes me laugh are the tongues on the Bloodletters.
For manifestations of the Blood Gods battle wrath and rage they sure do look like happy puppies about to play fetch.

not only that but more and more space marine chapters are starting to discard the blue librarian armor for their own chapter colors

Actually Librarians being blue is a rule of the Codex Astartes, which was created after the Horus Heresy.

The expression of that daemon on the right looks like it would be more suited to a daemonette. Just why doesn't the libraarian talk about his last experiences of mortal life?

In my opinion, the only librarians that ought to be painted blue are those that belong to chapters with blue as their primary armour colour.

I know that you say that you'd never want to fit that many characters in one drawing again, but I find it gave out an excellent drawing! I like the details, the background, the character, everything in this is great. The work really does pay off for you! Although, if this really did stress ya out a bit, I'd suggest having a bit of a cool-down period till your next drawing. Or if your still iching to draw then maybe just draw some simpler stuff, like chibis. Anyways, great work again Blaz!
Oh, and I'd like to say thank you very much for allowing me to draw Rain, it really did get my confidence back up!

Sure he's from the Imperial Fists, but that doesn't mean they actually CAME from the Imperial Fists. . . maybe their original Master of the Forge was an Iron Hand o3o;;
