Description Woo, haven't had an Urth update in a while. Had this one sitting in my to do folder since forever  I like to imagine they make the Rinzler "purring" noise.

In their effort to conquer the world, the newly arisen elves crafted organic armour to protect themselves. It would absorb impacts from ballistic weapons without difficulty and enhance the strength and reflexes of the wearer by ten fold, if not more.  It could mend broken bones and even reattach limbs, becoming one with the wearer itself.  The entirety of the elven army was equipped with these and could destroy who they wished with ease.  Only the most powerful and sorcerous of weapons could bring down a single amaranthine elf.

How the elves were able to construct such marvels has been lost since their empire fell to Grendel.  For all their achievements and triumphs, Grendel was the one creature that they could not overcome.  Now such relics are scattered and rarely in elven hands, for while they were not intended for non-elves, the amaranthe armour can form to any body it comes into contact with, to a point.  However, as they were not built for non-elf physiology, horrific side effects can come to the fore after extended use.  What exactly happens is largely unknown, but those who have found suits find them among bones or desiccated bodies.

Impressive. I would love to have your permission to use Urth's elves in a sci-fi setting that I am trying to create - in my setting there is no human like aliens (like those from Star Trek or Babylon 5). Instead, all the human-like "aliens" are descendents of the survivor clades of a previously unknown human/humanoid civilization extincted millennia ago under mysterious circumstances. What the relationship between Terran mankind and this "aliens" is one of the mysteries of my setting.

P.S: The great majority of the aliens in my setting is composed by non-humanoid aliens. The humanoid clades (and we Terrans) compose just a tiny fraction of Milk Way's population.

Ah mann, I loves me some technorganic armor. Armor that has the side effect of eating unsuitable owners, in particular.

Great story, and dangerously sexy design work.

For all their love of putting humans down, elves from every setting sure love making the same mistakes themselves!

Ooo
Armor that does horrific things to the body
Whatever it does to cause this, it sounds wicked.
I like the sound of this armor.

The aesthetic is quite appealing as well, the almost... artificial muscle type design is often a pleasure to see, and the helmet is nice.
