Description Well, this is a creature I invented called a Raisha, and notes about it are as follows:

A Raisha is a warm-blooded mammalian creature (Hyracotherium Aureus), with its closest (living) relative being the horse. It is golden in color with two dark black markings running over both the front and back legs imitating shadows, so are used as camouflage. The spiral on its head extends as the Raisha grows older, but its darkness and width are determined by the amount of testosterone in the creature's blood. Due to this, females have very pale thin spirals, while alpha males have wide black ones.

It has a long neck for reaching higher foliage than other grazers and browsers, with a total extended neck height of 2.3 m. The neck length is also useful for looking over bushes to spot approaching predators. Its ears are large in comparison to its total size, and are hyper-sensitive to disturbances in the air (ie. extremely quiet sound and even approaching bad weather).

It has long slender legs tipped with small paws and retractable claws, which are used while sprinting. A Raisha can reach speeds of up to 95 kph, aided by its flexible back and traction from its claws. Even though its wither height is that of a small pony, it cannot be ridden due to its easily-damaged back and fragile legs.

Raishas live in small (female) family groups which are led by an alpha male. The alpha will breed with all the adult females in the herd once a year. The gestation period of a Raisha is 8 months, which at the end will produce a single foal. A foal is able to keep up with the herd within a few hours of its birth. If the foal is female, it will likely stay with its herd for the rest of its life. If it is male, it will be chased of by the alpha male, although male Raisha will usually leave of their own accord.

A male Raisha will travel for long periods of time to find a new herd, sometimes up to a year. When a new herd is found, the young Raisha will fight with the existing alpha for the right to own the group of females. The two males will use their claws and teeth to fight, with males having unusually long sharp canine teeth. The battles usually result in heavy injury, sometimes death. The victor will then take charge of the herd, while the loser staggers away to recover and find a new herd.

Raishas are surprisingly intelligent for being herbivorous, and it is speculated that their digestive systems may also be able to handle insects and grubs for added protein. Being rather curious means that a Raisha will usually not run when approached by another creature, unless said creature is known to be dangerous, in which case it will sound an alarm call to notify the others in its herd and gallop away.
