Another day, another page.I had to draw stairs again. I really hate stairs. I'm relatively certain that there are too many stairs in this picture for the perspective I used, but I somehow just do not care. Speaking of which, I reserve the right to change the layout of the mansion as I come to understand it better and that sort of thing.
Scooter is biding his time. But he's not happy about it. Maybe it's all that red he's always looking at. It's supposed to be a stressful colour.
I tried colouring in some mouths, at the request of soooomeone.

It occured to me, Jean is the WRONG person to do a sales pitch to the brotherhood.
He should have sent Tabitha - or atleast Rogue. They might have taken them seriously.

You KNOW you deserve cookies galore for that staircase. And hell, I'm pretty sure they changed the layout of the mansion once (before it blew up), I swear there was one point where it was different. That's mutant manor, for you. Ever changing.
Hehe, angry Scott. I can almost see the thought bubble above him: "Fucking Lance...grr." I love Jean's face in the middle panel, just how she's looking to the corners of her eyes, and her smile... as if she's reading what he's thinking and is amused.

The mansion really isn't very wheelchair accessible, is it? I guess Chuck is confined to the ground floor every time some snooty mutant kid breaks the elevator. That or he makes Wolverine carry him around like in the Bodyguard. It's a comples relationship.
I love Jean's "as if" expression there, as well as Scott's "say wha?" glare. You give a lot of emotion to a character who covers half his face with glasses and only has three or four expressions to begin with. Also, apparently yellow is distressing to look at too, as it's one of the hardest colors for the eye to process. So Jubilee most piss everyone off.

It's hard to not draw little arrows pointing at Scott's face saying "Scott's Angry face" "Scooter's Concerned face" "Cap'n Military's I-Mean-Business face" "Goggle Boy's Constipated face"
.... I guess what I'm trying to say is that Scott doesn't smile much. XD
Jubilee does piss everyone off.... Everyone but Scott, who can't see her obnoxious yellow jacket and is still wondering why Wanda's called the "Scarlet" Witch when really there's nothing any more red about her, than EVERYTHING ELSE IN EXISTANCE.

I love the staircase. Maybe there ARE a few two stairs, especially for a man who is restricted to a wheelchair, but that's what we all said when we first saw that ridiculous staircase. So, excellent depiction I say.
I like all the snow on Jean. Part of me likes to think that the Brotherhood pelted her with snowballs as she left and Jean walked away stoically going, "I will not just crush their minds...they are poor and cold and just vengefully upset *cringing as some snow goes down the back of her shirt* Okay...at least a LITTLE mind-fucking. >.O;;"
What IS on the furtherest left side of the first panel? Is that a statue?
You know what's the best part about this page? The internal spot blacks inside the mouths. Wow! that really brings out the difference between teeth and tongue and makes the whole image pop a little more. Why, whoever suggested that was a genius! An innovative genius I say!

It is a statue. I figured it was a little abstract but when I had the choice of "empty space" or "one third of a statue" I chose statue cuz empty space looked lame.
That person is indeed an innovative genius. Probably classy as hell, too. Too bad I can't remember who it was.
