Pokemon Y got here on the 11th! Yay! Thank you GAME.co.uk! I have since been playing it ten to the dozen and what a brilliant game it is!

Anyways I digress...LOOK WHAT I HATCHED! xD This is Noibat, the pre-evolution of Noivern. Only this one is SHINY. Normally her aqua blue colour is grey and the black parts are purple. How she came to be was an interesting little story to say the least

Firstly, at the time of her hatching I only had 4 badges. The only way I could have a Noibat so early on in the game was via trading on the GTS. So I put up a random female Skrelp I found and asked for any Noibat using the brilliant new "What Pokemon?" feature of the GTS! After time, my Skrelp was snatched up and I was blessed with a level 57 Female Japanese Noibat. Level 57 however was a bit too over-leveled for my current stage in the game, SO I decided to breed her. Having no Ditto in my game however, I had to go back to the good old fashioned "Find a suitable egg group partner" method. I first tried Charizard with her. Nope. Then my Tyrantrum since he is part dragon type. STILL nope. Then I saw Aerodactyl sat in my box. He promptly got thrown into the daycare with my little Japanese batty friend and voila! The two actually bred! I carried on this way until I eventually bred a male Timid Noibat. Happy with the nature I had bred, I then wondered "Why should I stop there?" and continued to breed for a shiny, using the new male Noibat as my Nature carrier using an Everstone! (Yes I had decided previously Timid was probably the best nature for a Noivern after seeing a rough estimate of it's base stats xD) 31 eggs in, still no shiny baby until I came to my 32nd egg then THIS little angel came out!

Noibat is female, Timid (Of course!), "Strongly defiant" in Characteristic and has the ability "Frisk" (DAMN IT! xD Infiltrator would have been much better...) She hatched on the 12th of October (X&Y Release date! ) and has since been fully EV trained in Special Attack, Speed and a little bit of HP. Since then she has also leveled up and is now a beautiful Shiny Noivern and is a brilliant addition to my team! *AS FAR AS I KNOW!* She is the first Shiny Noibat/Noivern discovered! Special stuff!
