at the end of august i read a series called "midnighters," about a bunch of kids with interesting powers, in an american town who are awake in an extra 25th hour of the day, an hour that no one else even feels. there are these bizarro monsters who are also awake then, except stuff goes wrong and things get blown up and stuff. look at it as an english text-, less gore and angst-ridden-version of X/1999. here's info on the series: [link]

this is one of the main characters, Dess, whose power is an ability to do a kind of math that wards off those monsters i mentioned. i like her because she's sort of the odd one out, being the only one not in a romantic relationship, and she can do math and i can't.

I drew this when i was reading a lot of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles by CLAMP, so the style looks a bit like.
