Description
In case you don't get the joke, this is a reference to the fact that Julie-Su was on the preview cover to issue #244 alongside Amy, but was cut from the final version.Background is part of the cover to Sonic issue #244, made by , and sloppily edited by yours truly.
Also, this is my first time using the path tool in Gimp.

I am happy that Julie-Su eliminated comics. It is the most hated character of comics, along with Lara-Su and Saffron.

Having to do an arc based on characters that are not allowed used after they just started. That arc was to be compromise but had to be in more compromises by not ever stating their names. It also affected sonic universe arc but fortunately the arc is not about rob o hedge. I had to wonder if Ian was going to do tidbit of Amy’s dark past but had to cut it.

There were plans to expand upon Amy's backstory, but they never materialized and in a recent letters column Paul Kaminski made it sound like there were no plans whatsoever for her, despite his claiming there were several issues ago. Most likely scenario is that Sega told Archie they couldn't explore the backstories of SegaSonic characters anymore.
In the grand scheme of things tho', the lack of Amy's backstory isn't that important. Just another broken promise from Archie, that's all.

When was that because they petty much deviated by arcs on characters both Archie and Fleetway and they are still doing it, and so did any animation and manga deviated. Isn't their advantage by stating going beyond the games?

It was during a letters column a little while ago, and I also think they mentioned doing Amy's backstory in a convention last year.
But like I said, more that likely this is just Sega meddling in the book and telling Archie to not develop SegaSonic characters. You'll notice, for instance, that Sega characters aren't allowed to directly refer to their relatives anymore.

Many believe it has something to do with the recent lawsuit shenanigans between Ken Penders (The creator of Julie-Su and other Archie echidna characters)and Archie. Apparently a settlement was reached, and as of now, characters created by Penders can't explicitly show up or be referred to in the current stories.

Long story short it was partially the lawsuit but also the fact Archie didn't want to pay royalties for Pender's characters despite him being open to talks. It's also why the reboot took place.

Actually they agreed to settle. They haven't fully negotiated yet. The legal team just said don't use any of the disputed characters until it was all over with.
