Story (EN):
"Are we leaving Colderra forever?"
"Will we come back next winter?"
"Have you ever been on Qual'Aber before?"
"How long will the journey take?"
"Are there sweets on that isle?"
Liekki's headache probably developed from all those questions. She had to solve the problem with "too much animals on a deck" and then answer to Elvi. She silently moaned and hidden her head in her palms. Plus, it was cold and cloudy and Liekki's red wavy hair probably didn't like dampness in the air, judging by it's wilted look. Another reason to feel bad.
"Yes, we will come back one day, of course," said Liekki, trying to keep a patient tone of voice. I wanted to ask if I can go to my animal friends and tell them something, but Elvi suddenly stood in Liekki's way. When I met Elvi for the first time, I thought she was a boy. Her short hair, clothes and face prompted me to think that about her. But when Liekki started talking about her and used feminine pronouns, I couldn't stop watching Elvi and trying to guess if she's really a girl or if she just plays it.
"One day? What do you mean by that?" she asked anxiously. Until this moment, her round eyes were shining by curiosity and enthusiasm, but now, they were both sad and frightened.
"Elvi, I told you that this is a journey. Journey can't take only one day!" Liekki almost shouted. Elvi stepped back and desperately looked at me and animals behind us.
"Well," said Elvi a bit calmer, "I don't mind being away, until there are kind people."
There are no people on Qual'Aber.
"But," Elvi continued, "What will happen with our animals? I know, we have three horses and those dragons and that blue crocodile with long legs will be okay, but... What about the gecko? It will feel lonely, won't it?"
"I don't think so. Sui is kind of loner." I anwered. I remembered brightly how was Sui bitting and even kicking, because she didn't want to meet another gecko. It happenned multiple times.
"But Sui likes me. If she is loner, then she can't like me," protested Elvi quietly.
"Alright, don't care about it now," Liekki cut off our discusion with exhausted face. "Call your mounts now. We need to leave already."
Strong wind tousled our hair. I've seen Ryuu and Modraasek landing next to us, Svetlana trotting to Liekki and Sui coming to us with happy expression. But the rest stayed at cost behind.
"What are they doing there?" asked Elvi. "Firrit! Hurry up!"
....
But Firrit hasn't gone to his two-legged friend and Fallen neither. They stayed next to me, even when they knew that I am a potheerog, a predator.
"Come on, what happened?" snorted Fallen and softly touched me by two grey horns on his nose.
"Nothing."
"You will see your true home, aren't you excited?" neighed Firrit, still ignoring Elvi.
"I think I should be excited but still... This voyage is going to be so bad for you two."
"Why do you think so? Don't worry about me. I can kick out every single predator's teeth if I want to!" Fallen stomped loudly to show me his strenght. He was a giant horse, much bigger than any other equine I've ever seen. Maybe I shouldn't be so afraid. He will protect himself and probably even that dappled Farrosian.
"You don't know our species that well," I growled. "I would kill you, if I was hungry and didn't know you as a friend. You and Kira saved me, right? If you haven't done that, I would eat you long time ago."
For a while, there was silence interrupted only by forthcoming steps of Elvi and Kirana. Then, before those two two-legged came to us, he told me:
"You don't know my species that well, too. I have a battle form - and I am not going to let anybody to hurt you or any of my friends."
