That's just plain cool. A part of me wished that you would have shrunk the size down a bit and used the sharpen filter in photoshop -- but it's still sweet either way you look at it. Wonderful shot.

Ah Fourth of July! I gladly did not have to celebrate that! We did however get hamburgers for lunch and all the sensei spoke English like us in the manner they speak Japanese at us complete with the "oh man you guys are dumbasses" hand-gestures. Honestly, that was my perfect location of the 4th. Yes...except that people in the Dent area were setting off firecrackers in the middle of the night for days before hand...wouldn't have cared if I didn't have a set wake-up time every morning.
ANYHOO! I want to thank you so much for sending me a copy of this while I was gone--I appreciate it so much because I couldn't get on DA! That and I love this photo! The composition and color is great, but I also love how you could interpret it either way: man lighting something+ sending it up to blow up, or somehting above having lit something and sending it down to blow up man. Woah, that's deep...and it actually sort of is. But, yeah, I knew it was fireworks, just so you don't think I'm too dense or too obsessed with blowing up people...only a mild obsession I tell you!
Ugh, this is turning into a ramble fest. Bet that was something you totally didn't miss! I shall +fav this now!

What a unique shot! I really love it. I don't know what it is...maybe just the sudden sparks of light shooting into the darkness. Reminds me of a dragon being born or something.... XP But seriously, I love it.

I actually took it at the local fireworks show ^_^ I thought it looked really really cool so I crept up through our horse pasture and got within like 60 ft and took it =3 I am so glad you like it
