I've always like the way the FEISAR ships were designed, but that might just be because I love old, boxy Volvos. They don't seem like they would make nearly as interesting a transformation, though.

I dunno its what you do with it that I think would make it cool. the easy way would be to a jet style transformation and just strip off the wings but given its simple tube shame maybe try something a bit more complex so the robot mode has a bit more going for it

Yeah, I imagine it would transform something like how the War Within seekers do. Although I can see how it could go a completely different way.
The Mirage ship would be interesting. I'm not sure exactly how that could work, since the fuselage is really small and it has those weird scoopy-looking things on the front. Unless maybe it's a combiner or something...
