Meet Candra, one of Vajramani's mates in canon

I've been wanting to create a moon-themed naga since my very first attempts at this species and apparently I'm happy with my first canon mate for Vajramani and seriously, these two love each other so much it can be sickening to watch sometimes really And still Vajra has a hearty harem of beauties to feast on, go figure. That's what you'd call a snake with a big heart, see?

Candra comes from a long line of crescent-back nagas with lots and lots of siblings. His father is a revered ruler from the eastern provinces. Since Candra was one of the youngest, he didn't have much to look forward to in terms of ruling, inheritance or marriage, but one day, Vajramani happened to be passing through and was invited by the king to stay with them for a while on the pretext of diplomacy but the real reason being the king wanted to access competition really. Vajramani was a stranger but a tough-looking one and the king would rather have peace with him instead of conflict. In fact, Vajramani was so well-behaved that the king offered one of his numerous offspring for him to take along if he'd be interested. At first, Vajramani refused, but Candra was already in love with him and made the choice for Vajramani.
They left together and bonded tightly to this day.

Background:
Because Candra was one of the youngest princes in a brood of several dozens of siblings, and despite growing up pampered by attendants in his father's harem, no one really paid much attention to him, which made most of his childhood to be a lonely one. But one day, during his very first heat, one of his father's courtiers came along and feigned an interest in him. Candra was immediately smitten by the tall, strong male. For a while Candra honestly thought he was truly loved, until the nobleman showed his true colors and coaxed Candra into mating with him. It soon became an habit for the prince to endure the abuse quietly, because deep down he believed no one would come if he tried to ask for help.

The years passed and he grew a bit more until the courtier lost interest in him eventually and Candra went back to his old life, making use of his alone time to learn more and develop his spiritual self, also learning to read the night sky for predictions and other information, until Vajramani came along.

Also, see the bindi-like jewel on his forehead? Along with his necklace they were sort of a wedding present from Vajra, so there you go.
