Details & Easter Eggs:

  • The Aftermath of Noelle's Voyage
    • The sign in the first panel reads "Street Closed, Vale Harbor." Also Noelle mentions she helped her ship dock, fighitng off the Grimm as seen in Episode 3.
    • Thanks to @mintfoxmimi for letting me use Rokh's design art for the pictures on the Scroll.
      • Since Rokh has a bird motif with his weapon/in general, the "early bird" reference was tailored for him.
  • Winty vs Matcha, 9 Years Later
    • Of anyone, Noelle would be most likely remember the faces of the family that went missing /changed her career. We last saw the family on page 34 .
      • As we knew from mid-Episode 4 , Nero somehow acquired the body of Matcha/Aorta's father.
    • If you read the article, "Hongcha" is the name of Matcha's mother. It means "red tea" in Chinese.
  • Random People
    • The customer is another antagonist I drew long before this project, I just shoehorned him in for this page. You can see him here next to Nero.
    • On the uppermost box of the townsperson is the emblem belonging to Yulon , whose family runs a shipping/distribution company. Not important to this story, besides being a teammate Saphyr/Ragla were looking for.

Artist Notes:

Holy cow. It's been like 30 pages since we last had a sub 20-hour page finish time.

I'm attempting to keep future pages at a 8 panel maximum, prepare for all the headshots in the next page, depending on how rushed I get.

Also lowkey slight redact on the dates. The ship landing from Episode 3 and this scene happens 6 months post-Fall, not any earlier. The voyage itself could've been weeks/a month.

Backgrounds were super simplified (and honestly, sufficient) and arguably the final panel got the most rendering work.

Let me know if the quality drop is too much of an issue!
