Well, here's a first at participating at an exchange event for an rp group; I'm aware that #Souls-of-Chaos had shifted the due date, but I'm uploading mine just for insurance, since the new date is somewhere caught up in my school days. and we know my art updates are only going to go downhill from here ahaha

The theme was summer beach fun, and the rp-er I was assigned to was *Kyandii-Chi , and both of her OCs were associated with the ice elemental, hence the title
Sylvia and Makaih were given rather opposing ideas, the former seeming to relax and the latter more prone to having fun; I decided to go with Sylvia's form of sunbathing (though in this heat and direction of the sun, she should be melting...OTL) and let her younger brother (at heart) make some sandcastles and play with the shells, just like any other kid

Artist Notes:
-I so can't draw umbrellas .-. sometimes I look at how I shaped it and started to wonder if the rod is portruding from Sylvia *sigh* The angle needs a bit work, too, after I realized how I drew the towel underneath her and all... I really spent hours trying to figure out a floorplan, and I think this sorta counts as a first with drawing beaches, heh.
-I at first thought I was being lazy, but the overall orange hue kinda made me feel I didn't slack as much as I imagined I liked how the eyes turned out on Makaih (though ppl who watched me draw keep insisting he was a girl, but not anymore, I hope >.> the hair on him turned out nice, too); Sylvia's eyes are quite complex with the red pupils, but I think the frozen droplets below them were the real challenge. Shells are decent for me as well owo
-Aargh there are so much 'stuff' in here despite it looking pretty empty on the beach---I mean, a sand dollar? What was I thinking? //shot it was supposed to full up the space, I think... And the bird on top looks a bit less like a seagull oh well, the experience counts.
-The clothes were based on the OC's, I implimented similar colors or patterns from their original outfits, not that it's that noticable... I'm not really great at drawing swimwear, ahahah (how many first-times are there in this pic? *shrugs*) Sand wasn't much of a stellar performance either, but exploring new brushes never hurt in the long run, same with the oceans.
-I'll have to learn how to make clouds more accented, they look a bit fluid in here, if you know what I mean. Anyways, that should do it for my thoughts. I'm not going to complain as much about anatomy, since I still haven't gotten very far in that.
