I thought Lum would make for a good alter ego for Alison because they both have similar hair styles. I am also a big fan of manga-ka Rumiko Takahashi, and yet had not used any of her characters in this series. It was about time I gave her a little nod, and the Lum tiger-striped bikini is pretty recognisable.
