It's a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic original character request! ~puffinrailsociety [link] asked me to draw one of the members of the Ponyville Ghostbusters, Tex.

I have never drawn a Friendship is Magic style pony before this. I have only drawn a handful of ponies before, period, so I figured this would give me something new and different to draw than I would devise on my own. It's always nice to try drawing new things, plus I really, really like the Ghostbusters. My Little Pony: friendship is Magic isn't bad either.

~puffinrailsociety specifically requested Tex "posing" in front of the Ponyville Ghostbusters emblem. This is the "pony only" version without the emblem both for fun and a bit of a better look at Tex. I came up with the pose idea on my own and he approved it. Now, since I never have drawn this sort of pony before, rendering him rearing up on his hind legs like was not easy for me anatomy-wise. These ponies are rather stylised as it is, and having him like this makes me wonder if he is indeed proportioned correctly. So, sorry if he isn't. This is my first go, so be gentle with me.

I found another commission of Tex by ~meganschmidt [link] that I liked here: [link] and used that for reference as well. I also used some canon images of Big Macintosh from MLP: FiM for reference on drawing male ponies and some stills from the Real Ghostbusters cartoon for ideas on the proton pack.
