These are my pets...I don't draw animals much so I thought it'd be a good exercise. Again..trying some new coloring techniques here. Some things I'd like to fix but I'm still learning...as are we all.Related content

Hi there. I saw you at NYCC. Your style interested me, so I picked up a card. Glad I did. A quick Google Search and I found your DeviantArt.
I think you've got a great style. I really like how you mix it up as far as face and body shape go. Too often I see artists draw people/animals with the exact same facial shape and facial features, and with very similar body types.
I noticed this all throughout your gallery but it was really notable here. Great work!

I love this. I really like how you get a sense of each animals personality through their expression. Also, the different textures make me pay attention to each individual aspect of the piece. Great job! Totally wish I could draw my pet's different personalities!

Pretty good for somebody who doesn't usually draw animals. The cats are a little too Disney-esque for me. I'm surprised you drew more human-like eyes for the cats, I think you should have taken opportunity to draw cat eyes for them instead of what you're used to. You should have drawn the stripe pattern on the ginger too as I'm sure it has them. I'm never seen a ginger cat that wasn't a tabby. If the brown cat was a tortie you should have drawn the detail in that as well. You've said you like to challenge yourself and animal patterns (and skin) can be quite challenging.

Great picture! I knew you had Dracula, but I didn't know you also had three cats, that's great! (I'm a big cat lover) I wonder what their names are, and I'm guessing two of them are boys and the one to the right is a girl

nice....animals always give m etrouble whenn drawing too...so i avoid drawing them if possible...i had to draw a bulldog for an issue of Guy Gardner(used to be a Green Lantern book) and i was so worried so i looked at a pic of one and i still didnt like how it turned out. oh well. The cats turned out good in this tho.

I recognized Dracula from an interview a few years ago (I think you had just gotten them) so that means you've drawn him accurately
I like the look on the gray cat's face, he looks like one of my cats (except right now one of his eyes is always shut)
This was excellent Billy, you always talk about how you're not good at drawing things so you challenge yourself, but you do a really nice job. And I'm not just saying so because I'm a fan, or to be nice, your work is awesome. It has a cool, creepy style, but it's light-hearted and fun. You are very talented Billy, and you never cease to amaze me.

I love the texture on them and the expressions are great. My only criticism on this one is the shading. The grey cat seems to be floating off of the carpet.
btw, the dog reminds me of my own little guy, a black shaggy peekapoo with a ferocious looking little underbite.

Judging from this picture, two of your cats are mentally retarded...for future reference, cats don't have human eyes. And they don't make facial expressions such as the ones you chose.

My God that grey cat's face is too adorable for words! Though I must say his(?) back leg should be positioned a little further back.
