Colleen was kind enough to shoot a picture of the back of my first cosplay here. And I'm glad she did. This is what the back of Medli actually looks like, and believe it or not, it's hard to find a good reference image without going back and actually playing the games. The original artwork in my Wind Waker Strategy guide was actually wrong (in that it was missing the back of the scapular entirely), and if you try to look at the Animal Crossing: New Leaf QR code for Medli's outfit, the scapular's back is much too long. Tricky tricky continuity errors that almost tripped me up.
And the hairband... Boy, that hairband was some work in order to make it accurate. That hairband's made entirely from craft foam and hot glue and is held together by a rubber band in the back. I was very lucky that nothing went wrong while I made it, since I made it two days before con.
