ANOTHER ONE. But this one I'm actually kind of satisfied with. I've must have draw it out a while ago and then never colored it because I didn't like it. I found it again while sifting through pages and tweaked it a bit
I also tried shading... but I'm not sure about it... I think I like Hailey being shaded but that's probably because she's all grey. I also tried to tackle the mountains and hills and added little shadows. Not pro shadows but the cartoonish kind that I think is cute. I might have gone too heavy on the shading but I'll learn to accept and be able to SEE lighter shading.
Anywho... If you haven't read BluBloods, here's a little summary:
Atheria's wild horse herd is ruled under the law of the dominant stallion, Feng.
Beyond the territory of the herd, is a small band of horses called the BluBloods.
From his father's stories, young colt, Samson believes BluBloods are heroes of Atheria. But as he grows, he learns that there is more to the world than his favorite fairytales...

Hmmm... well, are you just stuck? Are you not sure what to do with the story or maybe the art? I get that a lot. Most people ask "How do I start a comic?" But it seems like you're already there with a title and everything!

Yes I'm stuck, actually I changed the comic its called Elemental, well the story, even though I've got a plot. But I don't know what will happen in this comic.

I had to do that with BluBloods too. Personally, music inspires me and the stories I create. I really love listening to film score so different soundtracks help give me ideas that happen in the story. I also watch movies a lot so maybe if I'm super stuck, I'll watch a movie of the same genre I want my comic to be or even something completely different from my comic ^-^' (I watch a lot of Disney films)
You could also try drawing your characters a lot with different expressions, poses interactions with other characters... Just sketching them is enough. I have a bunch of sketches in a folder in my gallery that I drew to plan stories out. Almost like a brainstorming exercise or a story board.

You can work on those sketches as long as you want! I usually just draw and draw until I can't anymore or when I finally get past the creative block. And I'vs been working on BluBloods... Probably since I was 13. This is the new version of BluBloods so when I'm done here, I still have a lot of editing I want to do and even more after that when my artistic skills improve

A Fan comic is always welcome! A friend of mine made a short one that is now in my favorites in the BluBloods folder if you want to check it out, it's pretty cool. As for the sequel, ideas are welcome! I love getting feedback and things, but I'm not quite sure of a collab just yet, since the sequel is a long ways away from now ^-^'

Hmmm... I might but they aren't as pretty as other tutorials.Β It's kinda doodlish and oldΒ but ifΒ it helps
I've also referred to James Baxter's video on how to draw Spirit from Spirit:SotC
Β But a good tip is to get a good look at a skeletal model or drawing of a horse or pictures of real horses. All I do is Google "horses" and use references. Or if no internet is available, in horse books and magazines. If you have Breyer horses or horse models, they make good references. (sorry lots of referencing).
