Admittedly, I didn't have reference at the time, but you can see Beat's character art had some influence. His head should be bigger, but I was so pleased with the face I didn't want to erase it.

They only partner up because you need a partner to play the game. Otherwise, you're doomed. The monsters in the Game target solo players.
