Description Designed and folded by me. Folded from one uncut square of origamido paper. Designed March (?)/ April 2009.

It has three pairs of swimmerettes under the abdomen (you can see them). The crease pattern for this is actually rather similar to that of my crayfish. I would have liked the abdomen to have been maybe a little skinnier, but I'm fine with it the way it is.

... Don't mind that crappy wire stand, I'm making do with what I can

I wish I was that good at origami. I can make some pretty advanced stuff, but nothing as incredible as this. Great work.

yeah that was sarcasm. if you thought it looked real, then thats what you should have said. Not everyone shares the same disposition on shrimp as you do, and you need to learn to choose your words more carefully because leaving comments saying "ewww" without explanation aren't usually taken to kindly.

its alright. all I'm really saying is that just saying 'ewww' without any explanation can be rather easy to misinterpret.

*gives standing ovation* How thick or thin is the paper? I'm not very familiar with types of origami paper.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blue-Paper In reply to BrainFissure [2010-12-16 17:26:58 +0000 UTC]

I used some origamido paper for this, and origamido paper is very thin, very strong, and crisp paper, especially when treated with methyl cellulose (though I can't remember if I did that with this one or not :/ ). but anyway, I'd need some pretty thin paper for a model like this considering how many layers I can get in some spots lol
