You should not post anything you don't expect people to use...It's a sad but true fact. And all those rules to be honest most people don't read.

The best thing you should do is watermark it. aint no one gonna steal it if there is a devaint art badge right slap in the middle, There isn't anything you can do about people using it as drawing reference though as the copy write law doesn't cover anything that has been changed no more than 30%...
