A mechanical bird made to look like a “yellow breasted chat.” The feathers are detachable, or at least eight of them are, four on each wing, and are let down in a rain of sharp metal “shrapnel” as needed. Though Fawkes 2.0 was intended by Ave to be more for a distraction than anything. Ave has back up pieces of “shrapnel” to reload Fawkes 2.0 with as needed, or for his own defenses when engaged in combat or striking from afar. They’re similar to throwing knives in length and sharpness.

Fawkes 2.0 has all the make up of a real bird in a sense, and can provide a bird’s-eye view of places! Since it’s mechanical, it can also legitimately talk back to Ave and provide information on what it flew ahead to see!

Distraction:

Ave’s not very good at the whole combat thing, so he’s more than willing to sacrifice himself or Fawkes 2.0 to cause a commotion or distraction in order to increase likelihood of his Division (or any others as needed) and their successes.

Glass Cannon Counterattack:

Though Ave’s not good at striking first or evasion, he is definitely able to take a hit and generally counter it tenfold, even if one or two hits will bring him down, he will certainly go out with a bang, and not a whimper.

PERSONALITY

First and foremost, Ave is a very social person, almost routinely so, almost as if he was conditioned to be this way. Any new face he does not recognize, he will seek out in order to learn of them, to know them, for better or worse. His eyes have an intelligent sparkle to their offbeat scales, as if they are constantly analyzing and taking everything in their wide frames, seeing the world as if they never had before.

He is surprisingly empathetic and feels others’ emotions as keenly as his own, if not more so. What he sees and hears around him he often expresses just the same, and just as deeply, much to his own confusion. Not that it stops him from being very confident in himself and his abilities, even if much of what he has to say or do might be hot air blown from puffed lips.

Something about running into the thick of something, or living life to the fullest, or this or that -- it has led Ave into becoming a young thrill seeker who does anything and everything for fun. Just for fun. Sometimes there is a better reason for it, but most times not. As a result he can be rash in his actions, putting himself and others in danger just for the simple feeling of an adrenaline rush.

Ave doesn’t have what people call “a filter” and this is where the ugliness shows. He is two-faced, often playing the field or both sides for his own amusement rather than for any other reason. He has a baby face and he knows it. He looks rich and will act like it. But in reality Ave is snarky, quick to clap back and turn nasty or turn his nose up toward things he dislikes for xyz reason, showing what an unrefined and feisty little brat he can be.

He is judgmental and verbal about it too. He judges everyone and everything, and will go out of his way to add insult to injury if he deems it necessary, which more often than not might spark a fight. Being smart as he is, it’s no wonder to know that he plans these strikes and encounters, showing off a frighteningly masochistic side that seems to get high off of pain, and even more when the rush of “fight or flight” charges in his veins. More often than not it will put him at odds with many people once they see the “real” side of him, but eh… Ave’s never been much for pleasantries.

Ave has a keen voice perfect for singing, and he will do so to his heart’s content, though generally not when other people are around.

Technopath:

He seems to have a way with technology and machines!

Bird Whisperer:

His name, whether it’s real or just something he gave himself, means “bird” -- which happen to be his favorite animals. He grew attached to one that he may or may not have gotten hit with the polychromia and named it Fawkes. Not that Fawkes (1.0) is around anymore, it’s still a fond memory, and birds in general will flock to Ave in more peaceful settings.

Ave was found by Division Y's leader on the streets, surrounded by birds and multiple handouts he managed to sucker out of people. He claims to have a brother or something, and that his scarf used to belong to said brother -- but that's the only private information that has been divulged by the boy himself.
