James: I can't! My shoes are on fire!

James: I don't want to go any faster! (applies his shoe brakes) MY SHOES! NO! STOP! I WANT TO STOP! THOMAS!
Thomas: Use your brakes! USE YOUR BRAAAAAAAAAKES!
James: I CAN'T! MY SHOE BRAKES ARE ON FIRE! THEY'RE MADE OF WOOD! (fire comes out)
Thomas: (gasps) I'm going to try to tie up behind you James, I'm going to try to slow you down!

He actually doesn't have shoe breaks, he's skidding against the road/path which is rubbing and causes his shoes to catch fire. Just thought I'd point it out.

I know. I was just playing. I like to do scenes from films. Besides, I'm doing a pony version that has me as Thomas, Carlos as James, Cameron and Carlie as Edward and Lunastar as Lily.

I thought maybe James could be wearing those wooden shoes back in the old days. Otherwise, I did hear that some shoes, rubbing against asphalt, could probably catch fire (especially rubber ones).
