Well here's a first. I don't really care for Sonic Underground. (The singing is terrible XD) But I did this for =Rave779 as a trade. He did a very cute pic of Nuku Nuku for me, but I don't think he's got it on DA yet. X3 So, yeah, first time I've drawn Manic really. I used the crossover issue of Sonic for reference. I dunno what color his eyes should be since they're usually black, but I made them orange. The thing behind him is the symbol for a drum beat in sheet music (thanks to ~Akumaryu for that). I suck so bad at backgrounds. XDManic © Sega/DiC/whoevers

I haven't seen much Sonic Underground, but so far, I kind of like Manic. I'm hoping I can get my hands on some DVDs that include the original French dialogue, to see if the singing is just as bad...and so that I don't have to continue to hear Jaleel White trying to voice a girl. Urgh.
Anyway, about the picture at hand, I think the background suits it nicely, and the pose has those whole 'rebel' feel to it.

It could be worse, but Jaleel White is not a good singer, especially when he's voicing a girl... Also the lyrics are corny.

Oh, okay. In Sonic Underground, Manic (the green hedgehog in the picture) is Sonic's brother. He plays the drums. They're royalty and searching for their mother, the queen. I don't know much other than that.

I'll never understand how Sonic Underground had so many short comings as a show, but made a character like Manic that people just went wild over. I guess their desing team wasn't slacking
I'm a fan of Manic's general design as well, though the show wasn't to my tastes. That being said, you really captured him well here. His spikes are out of this world and he looks like he's totally ready to rock out. Absolutely marvelous!
