What is flight if not controlled falling.

When I was doing research for the 24th one, I found out that there is no fossil record of bat wing evolution. There is nothing, and then animals very similar to modern bats start appear.
I tried to imagine such creature and there we have it, gliding on skin membranes, it's fingers already elongated, but still fairly operational.

Edit: I noticed I drew one additional finger on the left hand. I swear that I didn't see it during drawing! I photoshoped it away, but it's the only digital edit I ever did on my Inktober drawings (apart from editing out the dust)
