Part of the "Becoming" series, the first part of three of my new experimental and conceptual work. My original idea was "the body as a landscape," but I thought about that some and thought it was boring, so then I thought of "the body as part of the landscape," but it was too cold out and there's nowhere remote enough around BG to have naked people in the woods during the day. So I used a slide projector in the studio to project images of nature (a lot of them slides of my own prints, and some being documentation prints of a sculptor's work) onto a dropcloth and around the models' bodies. The effect of this was amazing and after I saw the first few prints, I realized that there was a lot more to these images than a visually interesting effect. There are a lot of different ways to take them, but I think all of them somehow lead to the idea that man is not separate from nature. The "Becoming" series speaks of man going back into nature.

This is my marathon print. It took me 4 hours to get this one to print correctly with everything at least close to good. It was worth it, though. This is one of my favorite image out of all three series.
