Nice picture, but perhaps even too minimalistic. A softer (reflected) lighting might look better. I'm not really fond of the yellow either, it's almost a sickly tint.

Personally, I've always liked that kind of yellow tone. I tried to get it like that by using the object of that color with a yellow light. Oh well, everyones different.
