Cody's 8 I think. So a year or two (depending on the interview) than Link.

It's funny you say that, I had run back downstairs to fix my mistake-he was about 10 WHEN the movie came out, but would have to be a few years younger for recording. Oh well, I'm pretty sure YL Link is officially 9, close enough.

I figured he must've been somewhere within 7-9 years old, so...yay! Yeah, Disney doesn't care about this movie that much, if saying that Marahute is MALE on the dvd back cover is anything to go by when it's made absolutely clear multiple times she's female-bah, it's making me mad already lol.

I just remember how brave Cody is, like rock climbing without equipment, or the things he did while riding Marahute. I can tell you right now I would probably shit myself if I swan dived above a waterfall like he did. In fact by the end of it, Marahute would probably be carrying a completely unconscious body if it were me. So I could see him keeping up with Link.

Hang on, I have the original box with me, so let's check this out:
"...Cody, a young boy struggling to save a majestic eagle from a ruthless poacher..."
Oh wait, no it's not on the VHS version. But Marahute is a an Eagle???
Dang!

The VHS version got more respect! My DVD back says "But when a ruthless poacher sets out to capture the eagle, Cody steps in to protect him." I'm guessing it was someone older than 40, I can't tell you how many times it's happened where someone would say with someone's dog they say she when it's a he, or he when it's a she lol. And I mean, repeatedly, with the same pet. LOL.

Honestly, I loved the original much more simply because of how much more care and whimsical stuff it had. VHS FTW!!! But yeah, that person who wrote that line must of had nothing to do in the movie production.
Interesting observation with people being over 40, but then again you work with a lot of dog owners!Β
P.S (Personal Sidenote) I'm in North America! Just arrived, and the odd thing was, this was the first picture on my feed, right when I was looking through my sister's VHS collection! What a strange coincidence....
