LOL Well that so called "Not-Sonadow Phase" didn't last long
How does the Ultimate Lifeform get sick? .... well ladies and gentlemen, I don't have an educated and full-proof reply. I just wanted to draw this type of scene. XD
Meanwhile, I've never seen Sonic be so patient XD

Years and years of being stubborn and practicing as much as I can. Being brave and discovering new ideas and techniques. I've you want to get better at drawing bad enough - you'll keep going and practicing.Β
It's the best any of us can do ^^ and Β it's so very rewarding when that practice pays off. Learn to take creative criticism too - people are only just trying to help you improve. Ignore the useless flaming comments too. It's not worth fretting over someone degrading your efforts to draw something.

Well, if he was created half to cure an (nervous and) immune system deficiency, Shadow should be immune to a lot of diseases, but as an engineered "experiment", it's perfectly credible that he would have some weakness or other that not even Gerald had predicted, a problem adjusting to Earth's Chaos energy long-term (being half-and-half BA), or the likes. It's not such a far stretch to imagine an imbalance in his "systems" could incapacitate him for a while. Those could be true "glitches"; problems that can't be identified, and he'd just have to ride it out.
Again, your faces. Sonic hardly ever shows when he's upset, so to see him that openly worried tugs at the heartstrings because then you know it's bad. And I have a thing for when characters are half-conscious and weakened and struggling. Shadow's face. <3

Looking at the cold as a glitch is actually a good idea! Heh, Shadow would be so frustrated to endure something he'd deem as insignificant as a cold.
"Ultimate-lifeform doesn't succumb for such petty illnesses! - blah blah"
But, say he was accidentally poisoned - that's another matter.
Immunes systems also attempt to flush out poisons. So Shadow's engineered body would react to both.

Well Sonic does have that attribute where he worries about the safety and well-being over himself. The paitence thing is a new one.
You can tell he's worried, due to the frown, half-lidded yet intent eyes and frown. But because of what you mention about Sonic hardly being upset,
I didn't want to over-do the expression he has. He's not one to run around frantically going "omg-omg-omg he's sick what do I do?!!" hahaha
Guess you could call this Shadow's maintenance time. XD
And seeing Shadow put out of commission for once is an interesting theme. Since in a lotttttt of Sonadow I've seen it's forever Sonic. (Which I guess is to be expected since i read stuff where he's the "uke")
What interested me the most about this theme is that I guess I put Sonic in this mind-set where physically Shadow can hold his ground unbelievably well (unless his inhibitor rings are removed). Shadow also hardly shows signs weakeness and down-right refuses to show vulnerability to anyone - and it pisses himself off when he does (great comedy material btw XD).
So seeing Shads in such a weakened/exposed state mean there's really something wrong.
But even though Shadow doesn't really have a choice at the moment, the closeness that is being unintentionally presented between these two is sweet. ^^
On another note: Seriously these comments have made me day! Thank you! and I just love it when people get really indepth in there comments and theories that apply to my pics! It means a lot becuase i'm showing that I'm communicated what I intentionally wanted to!
This pic and "Please" seem to be quiet popular... Should I do a SAI version of them? or do you pefer my tradtional versions?
I find that I have more control with tradtional paper, because I still reasonably a novice with programs like SAI and photoshop.

Haha, it takes me so long to reply sometimes when I try to reply to everything in a long comment like these... I like your thoughts behind this piece. I try to use contrasts like that for showing when something's serious. (Which means LOTS of work building an image of how a character acts before I break that image. But that's fun in its own way.)
One of my big long arcs is going to be centered around a similar situation... I just really like bed-side watching scenes, and it's always interesting how an otherwise self-sufficient character, who usually is the one to save /protect others, handles being weakened like that.
And like you said, those unwanted states of weakness can result in closeness that may be unasked for... But that can be nice all the same, or even eye-opening.
...While the Sonic I write isn't as bad as the Fleetway!Sonic, he does often come off as a thoughtless jerk who would rather leave other people and their grief in the dust when it slows him down. But during Shadow's recovery, he's a rock, without asking for thanks after. (Which is partly because he starts to understand how broken Shadow is behind his personal walls, so thereβs hidden-sides mileage for both of them really.)
And earlier, a slight taste of the reverse situation will have happened when Shadow (against all odds) saves Sonic from drowning and stops him from just running off on his own after, instead helping him get to Tails' place. (Sonic could technically have made it there on his own, even if it would have been exhausting in painful. Shadow sure didn't have to actually carry him there. For some strange reason he couldn't help himself.)
So yeah... You'll get a fair bit of both (Sonic and Shadow) being out of commission, when I can get this story properly launched. >3>
I think I also like those scenarios for the theme of building yourself back up and getting stronger again. And they're both bound to get that a lot, with how they've chosen to live. You get beat down, you get back up again and maybe you learn something from it - or maybe you just see how much someone is really there for you. Which is also learning something.
I like "Please" in its grayscale pencil version, personally. I see no reason to put drawings in a digital version if they're complete as they are, and that one seems complete to me.
As for this one, maybe? If you feel it's not "finished" to your eyes? (The scarf one was too cute btw, see if I can get my ass over there to comment on it some day)

lol well I finally put some artwork up that wasn't Sonadow (like Blaze Studys and the picture of Tone) and then I quickly reverted to posting more sonadow XD It's taking over my gallery and my mind hahahaa
