Wow, awesome work on the anatomy and the shading, and I love how you've positioned his arms to indicate that he is hard at work. Also, the expression is perfect!

Ooh thank you! I did this for a Directed Study class- one on one with a teacher- and it was one of my first fantasy works I timidly brought into the scary light of college. And my first actual pen drawing- not sketch. hehe, ball point ben! xP

Β And thanks so much for re-cruising my gallery! I feel all warm and fuzzy when folks do that! You're so nice! *hugs*

And what a fine illustration it turned out to be!
I love DA's 'More from this artist' button. Sometimes I abuse it.

I've yet to read the Silmarillion. I have to finish the trilogy first

thanks so much! The Silmarillion is an AMAZING book, especially if you like Elves... It's actually my favourite.

A good friend of mine told me it has a lot to do with elves and the creation of the world and such. I believe he said it was his favourite too. And of course I like elves is it possible not to?

Its nice to see a muscular elf for a change. In so many pics they're shown as reather skinny!

GOD bless

I agree! I don't know how a smith that lives alone in the woods would be able to be skinny. Elf or not. Thanks for the fav and the comment!

The Eldar in later writings are described as tall and strong but still graceful(all that in comparison to men), so imagine a lonely Sindar smith that is rather crazy of so much work.

Thanks for all the comments! Much appreciated! I love drawing elves and I'd definitely have to thank Tolkien for most of the inspiration...(oh and Peter Jackson too)
