One portrait I've been wanting to get to for a looooong time, and after reading a passage by in which her lovely character gets very excited about 'Biography of Barenziah' (I know the feeling!!), and while playing Oblivion and happening upon a shelf-full of 'The Real Barenziah'- I knew- it was time.
As a wee spoiler, I'll whisper that a certain scarred, wild, and outrageous Dunmer of mine is lucky to call this hero great-great grandda, even if he has no idea of it.

Very TES looking elf. One thing I love about the series is that they make their elves really look like, well. "Elves." Kudos for the detail you've put on the features. Very authentic and true to the TES experience.

I, too, have discovered a shelf of Barenziahs in Oblivion (hence Illari's obsession), and the warmth I feel towards the two spouses has flared up anew. I was planning to draw their first kiss, but got too wrapped up in a Skyrim comic to save enough time for it... And now I have a delicious Dunmer waiting for me in my inbox!
Love how you drew him - you really work wonders with a pen. The texture of his skin, and those scars - they look almost tangible!
And that glossy, wiry black hair! (Right, now I have a certain sonnet stuck in my head... 'Coral is not as red as his eyes' red' 
And the shading is amazing, too!
Please don't ever stop bringing your super-gorgeous Dunmer to us!

I always squee over that scene - but a certain wayward descendant of Symmachus' has pushed the drawing plans into the background. I think I'll be handling him first.
