Hey!Here´s my entry for the Starship-Contest held by EVE Online.
Almost didn´t make it in time! That´s also why i couldn´t add a isometric painting of the ship as well, though i would have loved to... meh.
Anyway, good luck to everyone! Great entries in this contest...!

This is an awesome concept for the T3 Battlecruisers, I like the look of the engines. Looks like a jovian type ship in my opinion. Love it none the less.

The only thing I find odd is that the circular engine design seems to break away from the rest of the ships aesthetics- that is to say, the rest of the ship is angular in design, while the engines (I assume that is what they represent, from reading others' comments) are curvaceous. That said, definitely one of my faves. Excellent work.

Yeah, i see your point... you´re not wrong, but i think this little break might also add to the design somehow - it´s a matter of personal taste, i guess.

Well, i´ve seriously already achieved much more than i have thought of, so it would feel really strange to be among the top 3, considering all the fantastic entries which didn´t even make it to the semi-finals, sadly.... but yeah, it would still be quite nice^^´

This is probably the only entry in the Semi Finals that deserves to be in the semi finals. It deserves first place.

Naah, come one... i somehow understand all the trouble which is going on, i also know some entries which were better than some of the semi-finalists, mine included. But i honestly would be more than surprised to be among the top 3 (would still be awesome, of course

only thing i do not like about this one is the interface-y feel... i think you should've used a plain bg to present it so the ship was the main thing in the image. still great though! good luck!

Yeah, i would have like to test out some different presentation methods, but i´ve really just finished it around 3h before deadline, after a 8h painting marathon... didn´t feel like being able to produce anything better afterwards. But that´s why i used the black bg for the top image at last.

The name makes me think of the really old "Ascendancy" DOS game. That was a galactic empire simulator as well! Your ship itself reminds me from the ships from "Banner of Stars"! I really enjoy looking at this!

Truth be told I think this ship has the most potential out of a lot of what I have seen so far. I would have preferred it a bit wider in which case it would be a perfect candidate as a carrier. Very good work.

Yes I should clarify that. Within the scale and confines of the contest it is indeed best to have it as is. I was just thinking more of its potential past contest boundaries as I think it has the potential to act as a number of different known ship types withing Eve. Simply if it were scaled down to a frigate or up to a carrier it would need little or no alteration cause the design is that balanced and flexible.

I have to say, even for a battleship size vessel that railgun is huge. The design is practical, yet aesthetic; it could pass as Minmatar or possibly even Caldari. The one other thing I'm not a big fan of is the engine design, as it doesn't really seem to fit with game canon. Other than that, it's not bad. Well done.

I really do hope you make an isometric painting, or at least a 3-dimensional model or representation of this ship, given that CCP has mentioned another contest that is instead chosen by voters, not a panel of judges. I would definitely vote for this ship, and having a 3-dimensional view would probably increase your chances.

Already done that, though i kinda dislike it... too weird colors and not all too accurate. I should have done a more messy scene where it is under construction at a wharf, like i once did before...
