Quick doodle. I'll probably use this for an ID or something.^^ Banette and Shuppet, two of my favorite Pokemon. xD I wanted to play around with some background effects +light+ drawing non human things...so yeah.
xD Oh also yeah, I tend to see Banette a little differently than its traditional art shows. Because Banette is a doll, I see it as having somewhat crude stitches as well as some patchwork and tears because...well its a ghost Pokemon. Why didn't they add these details to the real Banette? OTL
xD So yeah, filler as I work on more legitimate things~

^^ Haha, I actually have made a coloring tutorial before. Its a bit outdated though, and my manner of coloring has changed a bit since then. I'm planning to make another one sometime in the future though~

Well, well! Not only can you draw adorable pokΓ©mon gijinkas, but also adorable pokΓ©mon! I really like the blue and pink of the highlighting here! You always draw the loveliest highlights (though whether pretty highlights should be present on a dusty old ragdoll of a ghost is another question entirely...).
Shuppet looks kind of like a creepy baby, but in a cool way. That's an eerie stare it's got. I just love your banette, its tiny feet, its huge, dragging hands, and how it forms a fist at its wrist as if it's got enormous sleeves, you just draw it wonderfully. And I do like how you draw banette with stitches. To answer your question, that may be kind of like asking why pikachu was never drawn looking fuzzy. I love the spooky effect those dots surrounding the pokΓ©mon makes!

xD Haha, yes, that is a good point. Maybe ghost Pokemon aren't the best for strong highlights realistically...but I can't help it! I love highlights @w@

o uo Oh, yeah, that is a good point! xD They should draw Pikachu fuzzy, it would be so cute and more realistic. I like adding those kinds of details.

It'd be cool if pikachu actually looked furry. Probably having over 500 monsters to draw makes you get a little cheap on the animation. Well, if you have people to pay.
It makes sense that banette could vary, they wouldn't always possess identical dolls, now would they?

I dunno, maybe its just me, but ghost types have always been one of the easiest for me to use. Especially now that there are more defensive ghost types that don't die in one hit. lololol

xD Ah, I see. You are more of a physical fighter. Me, I'm more of a crippler. Thats why I love ghost type Pokemon. I loooove putting craptons of status effects on enemies and setting things up to where they can't do anything. xD Its great.
;n; But yeah, if you are an offensive fighter, it is difficult. Especially with Pokemon like Banette because of its laughable defenses. xD Thats why I use something like Cofagrigus/Dusknoir first as a tank and to cripple the enemy, then send in my Banette/Gengar/ Chandelure do do the heavy hitting. Also, combos like Hypnosis/Nightmare/Dream Eater are great too. I'm a strategist, which is why I adore ghost types so much >u<

Right.
The only reason I hate strategists is because my friend and I used to play Pokemon Stadium, and she'd play you to the point that no matter what you do, none of your attacks would hit with any of your team. It was just so infuriating.
