Background: Simon used to attend a religious school until he started to study science making him question religion as a concept which angered his teachers, when he decided to share his views on science and to other students, they respected him and came towards him for answers, Simon grew a big ego as a result viewing himself as intellectually superior to everyone around him and viewing religious people as inferior, when he met Rosemary they both became best friends after he helped her clear her name when bullies were spreading false rumours about her being lesbian just because of her tomboy personality.

Personality: Simon is very pretentious and egotistical about his knowledge and sometimes can annoy people around him with his arrogance, however despite his hubris he strongly values honesty from people and isn't afraid to be honest to others when he does bad things when he truly believes he made a mistake or got a fact wrong, when someone is falsely accused of a crime they didn't commit, he applies the presumption of innocence to everyone including people he dislikes.
