Description

I have done some big projects, but this one takes the cake.

It is a Dr. Who/Rick and Morty mashup afghan.

It took a couple years to crochet.

Definitely a labor of love, since I am not a fan or Rick and Morty. But my husband is. And we both like Dr. Who.

So I felt inspired to put Rick's face in a window of the TARDIS.

I didn't realize his tongue really isn't green. That green stuff in the picture I referenced was vomit. So, after finishing the afghan and learning about that, I joke that Rick was experiencing some motion sickness. The TARDIS can be a wild ride after all.

In designing this afghan, I referenced a graph of Rick's head, and a graph of the TARDIS. The Rick graph came from braceletbook.com and was submitted by user "vedi."

I used Caron One Pound and Caron Simply Soft yarns.

While making this, I watched a lot of Once Upon A Time, Great British Bakeoff, and Call The Midwife.
