Description

Dragons; fire breathing creatures that have fascinated mankind since history was ever recorded. These two not only breathe fire but while one follows the hero’s path the other is a terrifying killer. Today were focusing on these two purple combatants;

Spyro; the Artisan Dragon of Dragon Realm
Vs
Ridley; Captain of the Space Pirates
But put them together in a battle to the death... who will be victorious?

Dragon Fight!

Spyro- Artisan Darogn and Protagonist of Spyro the Dragon series. Before Spyro became a legendary hero, he started out as any dragon would; as an egg. Sparx the Dragonfly as a larvae at the time used to crawl around Spyro's egg, who the two would become lifelong friends. There was peace in the Dragon Realms during this time. However one day three thieves came to the Dragon Realm and managed to steal two of the eggs, one of which was Spyro and the other was a Dragonfly egg. The Dragons managed to find the thieves and scare them off before it was too late and at that moment, Spyro hatched from his egg an taken back home with the other dragons. Then a few years later, Gnasty Gnorc (Gnorc’s are the arch enemy of the dragons) devised a plan to crystalise all the dragons and take over the realms. Gnasty’s plan worked but with a big setback, the crystallization only worked on dragons that were over a specific height. The one dragon that remained untouched... was Spyro. So Spyro and Sprax made it their mission to save the Dragon Realms. Spyro succeed in defeating the Gnorcs and saved all the dragons from their crystal prisons. After this, he was called away too many other realms, including Avalar and the Forgotten Realm, to deal with a whole multitude of monsters and save those realms. Spyro's main forms of attacking consist’s of charging his opponents with his horns and breathing fire at them. Because he is young, Spyro can't fly very well and can't breathe a continuous stream of fire, so instead he just spits arrow-shaped fire bursts and glides from place to place. As Spyro gets a little older, he learns how to use his wings as a shield, swim underwater, double jump, head dive, and finally breathe a streams of fire. In Ripto's Rage and Year of the Dragon, there are powerup gates that temporarily give Spyro the ability to be invincible, fly, spit massive fire blasts (superflame), charge extremely fast (supercharge), and has learned Plasma Breath. In Enter the Dragonfly gives Spyro the ability to have ice, electric, and bubble breaths (Bubble was used to capture the dragonflys). In A Hero's Tail, Spyro learns water breath and also gains the ability to cast various magic spells and the art of Dragon Kata in Shadow Legacy. Dragon Kata is an ancient style of martial art which the Elders of the Shadow Realm taught him. It is the only technique used to defeat the creatures of the Shadow Realm. However a Shadowstone is required in order to perform Dragon Kata. There are three types of Dragon Kata moves: Horn attacks, used for quick jabs, Tail attacks, used for greater strength and breaking armour, and Chi attacks, magical attacks that can break the shields of more powerful shadow enemies. Spyro is known for being courageous, headstrong, eager and arrogant. He has an immutable sense of heroism, friendliness, and has a fiery personality. His downfall however is his little concern for his own safety and can be irresponsible at times, being extremely curious and hardly ever cautious, which sometimes gets him into trouble. Spyro gets into lots of mischief and is known to be cocky. He has become much more arrogant after the events of Spyro: Year of the Dragon, and in more recent outings, has actually denied help to those who did not expressly indicate that they would award him. Ridley- The high ranking Space Pirate and archenemy of Samus Aran in the Metroid series. Ridley's introduction in the series took place on the Star Colony K-2L, which he conducted a massive raid to steal the planet's Afloraltite; a crystal power source used to fuel the ignition module of a space ship. During the raid he allowed his soldiers to destroy whatever they wanted. During the raid, Ridley met a three-year old girl named Samus Aran. Amid all the destruction, little naive Samus went up to and asked to befriend Ridley. Feeling pity towards her, Ridley promptly decided to kill her, despite thinking that she was "so cute". Before he could strike however, Samus' mother pushed her out of the way at the cost of her own life. Meanwhile, Samus's father destroyed the supplies the pirates were after, but was himself killed from the blast. Ridley also appeared to be injured by the wreckage, but somehow he survived by consuming the flesh of the deceased humans and regrowing his own cells. Little did Ridley know that by orphaning the young Samus, he unknowingly created his own worst enemy as well as the enemy of all the Space Pirates. Though has fought and defeat him many times, Ridley has always managed to come back by either through his healing factor or robotic enhancements in later games. He was nick named “The Cunning God of Death” for escaping death numerous occasions. Ridley is not only a deadly fighter but a stagiest as well, said to single handily take out entire Space Fleets. Ridley is a monster, able to carry and toss Samus around while she’s in her suit, able to easily rip through metal designed to not melt under the heat of molten lava, strong enough to destroy starships with a single swing of his claw, and his Claw and Tail swipes can hurt Samus who was unfazed by a mountain destroying blast. Ridley’s speed is incredible as he can dodge missiles and laser blasts while flying high speeds and outpaced Samus's ship on numerous occasions. But what makes Ridley so dangerous is his durability; Ridley has survived explosions big enough to wipe out colonies, unfazed by most a Samus's weapons who carries Power Bombs that are designed to burn away living cells leaving nothing behind, Ridley can take at least three of them. Ridley is also lava proof as he can hide under its surface and the intense heat doesn’t bother him, he can even travel unprotected in space. Ridley can fire deadly Plasma Breaths powerful enough to shatter mountains if not charged. He’s capable of firing a steady stream or various bolts of plasma that can reach 179999540.33 degrees Fahrenheit. Ridley also seems to have a camouflage ability able to materialize in the background. Ridley may have the mind of a leader but he’s also sadistic as he is known to mock and pick at his foes minds, will take full advantage of any weakness he can find, and can go in a blood lusted state if someone manages to get to him but becomes single minded when this happens. Ridley also manages to get a few forms, one being Meta Ridley; a cyborg behemoth that increased Ridley’s mobility, strength, and offensive potential and capabilities after his defeat in the depths of Norfair. He was also given cybernetic molecules and armor plating. Meta Ridley arsenal was also given deadly enhancements as well; can fire red plasma beam from his mouth, carries Meson Bombs powerful enough to damage landscapes, and a Ultrathermal Flamestrike Projector in which Meta Ridley slams into the ground to create a fiery shockwave. Meta Ridley’s only weakness is the core in his chest which is poorly protected. Meta Ridley was then upgraded to Omega Ridley; where his strength and defense are increased and his core his now protected (can be ripped off by Samus’s Grapple Lesso) but is slower than its previous form. Can fire Phazon (a highly radioactive substance known for its extreme mutagenic and energy producing properties) beams and breath from mouth and tail at once, Plasma balls are now homing, claws can be coated with a Phazon blade, can charge a flame like substance in his feet letting him release a flaming shock-wave every time he stomps the ground, summon two Phazon orbs to create a electric cage like structure that hold his foe in place but can be destroyed, an infinite supply of Meson Bombs, and the Phazon armor skin has made him more durable.
