At a botanical garden a little ways away from where I live. Β

Excellent painting of those Greek Women, btw. It was very well done. Β

It's very pretty. I love window designs such as those.

Thank youΒ Β  I really appreciate it. I am just obsessed with anything Greek related. I may not be Greek but I'm sure proud of my interestΒ

Haha, thank you.

Well, to be completly honest with you, it's an interest I've shared. From an early age, my parents got me a lot of books about ancient Greeks and their culture and I was positively fascinated by. I still am, by and by, but as a child, my idol and hero growing up was Alexander the Great. He and his exploits, along with Achilles and Leonidas (yes, even before the infamous movies) were part of this "pantheon of great men" who I should aspire to be like (there was also Sun Tzu, but he's not really Greek lol).Β

I love ancient Greece all the same but my favorite part is the mythology. I've been interested in it ever since I heard about Hades and Persephone. And it really is interesting. I know most of us don't believe in the gods and goddesses anymore but it's impossible to resist one of those pieces of the ancient religions that existed all those millenniums ago and the peoples' theory of how basic things like fire and seasons came to be.

I just got hooked on Troy so I'm now into the Trojan War more than ever before. I know that they jumbled some things in that movie but it's one of my favorites. If only minor details of the events of ancient Greek mythology and life are changed in movies or TV shows then I don't have a problem with it because in my opinion there are so many versions told throughout history there really isn't an exact accurate one, but if Hollywood just purposfully twists them then I feel as if they are spitting on the Greek culture and have no respect for it(my only exception to that is Disney's Hercules since of course that was a kid's movie and I know what really happens in Hercules so.... yeah)

Oh yes, the myths are all very interesting.

Have you actually read the Illiad, by any chance?Β

No but I did some research and I know the plot line. I'm still gonna read it though.Β
