This Undead Abomination pieces is kinda extra special to me.

Warcraft 3 came out in the middle of a college quarter and I was beyond all help considering how engrossed I was in the game. Somehow one night I wasn't on the computer playing, and this drawing happened.

What was unreal at the time is that the whole thing was done, start to finish in a single sitting that night. This is a big deal because most of these ink drawings are really tedious and would take me multiple sessions. Even now it is rare for me to bust something out that fast, and even though this drawing is almost 10 years old now, i'm still pretty happy with it.

FURTHERMORE, when I had my first interview with Blizzard this drawing was already there waiting for me. I was sitting in the lounge, waiting to be brought in and questioned. There was a coffee table in the lobby with a few binders on it. A couple were letters from fans, full of kind words and suggestions for future games. The third binder at the bottom of the stack, was fan art.

When I picked up this binder, it was unreal. They used this Abomination drawing and put some text below that simply said "Fan Art". I was blown away. Here I was, sitting in the lobby of the dream company I wanted to work for, and they used my artwork as the cover of their fan art collection binder. It was a pretty cool moment to say the least.

And then I didn't get the job.
