“Well before you get too distracted, would you like to see your sister try out her wings for the first time?” Malcador asked Menefer, snapping her out of her planning.

“Aubra’s got wings? Are we all going to get wings?” She asked.

“I imagine you will all get something special just for you and your skills.” The sigillite responded.

Menefer was torn on what was more appealing, flying with wings, or in a plane. Having done neither, she had no experience to judge, so she shrugged and said, “Sure, let’s go see. Frigga! Wanna see Aubra fly?” She ran over to her sister who was mock-battling Tors with large, wooden axes.

“I’ve seen her fly,” Frigga shouted back as she ducked a slow swing from her father.

“No you haven’t, that was just floating. She has wings now.” Menefer corrected her.

“Really? Wanna go see, Pappa?” She tossed her axe from one hand to the other with a flip. Her father looked impressed.

“Why not?” He liftedFrigga up and onto his shoulders making her hoot in excitement. Damianus and Malcador joined them at the door.

Menefer took Damianus’ hand and beamed at him. She couldn’t wait to share with Aubra how wonderful her father was.
