Jack Skellington; The Pumpkin King! This was a Christmas present for me Ma. She's a huge fan. I used Black scratchboard and a little scratcher. From initial thumbnails to finished piece it took about 5hrs.I was listening to Marilyn Manson's rendition of "This is Halloween" the whole time.
At some point I plan on doing a series of these featuring the other characters from the movie.

I love this. The medium is just perfect for this type of picture. And having used the medium before, I know it can be a little hard to get exactly what you want. But despite that, it looks very nice.

Yup, you really only get one chance with scratch. If you're the type that doesn't like doing preliminary value studies (me) then it's pretty much a one shot. But always rewarding. Thank you.
